Green Man Essence
I first met Green Man on a plane to Ireland in 2011. This was my fourth trip to the west coast of Ireland with Don Babineau and Kate Gilday, founders and directors of Woodland Essence in Cold Brook, NY. For three years, we had been making flower essences from the Burren, a limestone expanse that covers an area of 250 square miles along the western coast of Ireland. The area is wild and full of plants that are not found anywhere else in the world - literally a heaven for flower essence making.
During each journey to Ireland, the three of us became more psychically tuned to the plants and the area. Don was able to find orchids that even locals were unable to locate. Kate began hearing the fairy realm direct us and, in some cases, warn us to stay away from certain areas.
Halfway into the six-hour flight, as I began to nod off, I was awakened to a male voice, naming itself as “Green Man.” Three times, I started to fall asleep, each time to be awakened and welcomed to Ireland. I saw a clear picture of a hazel forest in the Burren and was told to go there for more information.
Don was able to find the hazel forest, and there on a mossy bed, I saw a face imprinted by leaves and flowers. I was told to place my bowl there for a short time and then to collect the water and name the essence Green Man.
Green Man had many things to say that were both helpful and profound. This is what he said about the essence:
Use this essence for people who have gotten ill because of a broken connection with nature. These are mostly people who live in cities or are too busy to enjoy time in and draw energy from nature. There will be many health problems including a general breakdown of the immune function.
Use this essence for health workers who have lost connection to the value of plants and nature for general healing of the body and spirit. There will be a renewed sensitivity and interest in using nature as a healing agent.
Use this essence for those working with plant mixtures who are narrow in their approach to healing, focusing exclusively on the body and neglecting the imbalances of the mind and spirit. It will broaden their approach and make them thirsty to learn more.
Use this essence for all who work with nature for healing and spiritual growth. It will enhance each individual’s ability to directly extract the life force of the plant and to communicate deeply the message needed to make this plant useful for all.
Use this essence for those who are attempting to connect with the spirit level of plants in order to be of greater service to humankind. It will strengthen them and assist in opening their senses to receive information and energy.
When used as a companion essence in a combination, it will enhance the potency of other essences.
